A Sanctuary in the Making

Land, architecture, and the art of living deliberately.

Set within twelve acres of coastal woodland on Maine’s Blue Hill Peninsula, Rogue Maine is a personal sanctuary and an evolving exploration of nature, architecture, and creativity.

Part botanical sanctuary, part architectural experiment, and part photographic journal, it is a place shaped as much by curiosity and observation as by design.

The Land

Paths emerge through the woodland. Native trees and gardens take root. Each season brings new discoveries and new ways of understanding the land.

Built & Becoming

Structures are imagined, built, and adapted. A home made from shipping containers sits within the landscape, part of a continuing experiment in living differently.

A Photographic Journal

Photographs, field notes, and occasional reflections trace the changing landscape and the pleasure of making things.

A Place to Pause

Rogue Maine is, above all, a place for reflection, experimentation, and a closer relationship with the natural world.

And perhaps, in time, it will become a place where others are welcomed to share in its quiet possibilities.
