Rogue Maine

A return to nature on the bucolic coast of Maine

A botanical sanctuary in progress on Maine’s Blue Hill Peninsula.
We’re building trails, gardens, and small structures with a long-view approach—part ecology, part art, part homestead life.

Our Botanical Sanctuary

Our botanical sanctuary is situated on a hillside in a unique coastal microclimate that moderates temperature during the Summer and Winter affording an excellent landscape for a diverse array of flora and fauna in Northern New England.

For the past two years, we have been developing the property and trails with hundreds of native and medicinal plants and have planted over 135 trees including a food forest.   We have cultivated endangered species such as American Ginseng, Goldenseal, Trillium and Ladyslipper as well as pollinator-friendly plants to enhance insect biodiversity in the area.

Farm to table

As part of our ecological agenda, we grow as much food as possible in our all-organic vegetable/herb gardens and fruit orchards (and maintain chickens for farm fresh eggs) - to eat and to share with local food banks.
